Whitko, Lady ‘Cats Third In Whitley County MeetSOUTH WHITLEY – The Whitko boys and girls track teams both finished third in the Whitley County meet hosted by the Wildcats Wednesday. Churubusco won the boys competition, and Columbia City the girls meet. Ronald Patrick was the lone boys winner for Whitko, taking first in the pole vault. The Wildcats got second-place finishes from Shad Ebbinghouse in the 110 hurdles, Garrett Elder in the long jump and Alex Wilson in the 100 and 200, Zack Freel in the 200 and in the 4x100 relay. Suzanne Sickafoose was a triple winner, taking the 100, 200 and 400. Lyndsey Sapp and Corissa Beck finished 1-2 in the shot put for the Lady Wildcats. Sapp also won the discus. The teams are off until April 11 when they open conference competition at North Miami.
