I have learned from reliable sources that the North Webster Community Library must wait at least a month to meet the needs of our community from our beautiful new library building, even though library staff is currently in the process of moving into the building.
The reason for the delay is that Mediacom has informed the library that they, i.e. Mediacom, will not install telephones and other equipment for at least a month.
It seems to me that a public not-for-profit community entity, a benefit to the entire community, should receive special consideration and not be required to wait “in line” behind private family homes to receive Mediacom’s monopoly services.

Editor’s Note: According to North Webster Community Public Library Director Helen Leinbach Frank, the library is working with Mediacom to expedite the installation of telephone and internet service to the new facility.
