Wawasee Tennis Team Leads Roundup With NLC Victory

ELKHART — The Wawasee boys tennis team ended its regular season with a 4-1 victory at Elkhart Memorial. The Northern Lakes Conference win improved the Warriors to 2-5 in the conference, as well as 8-7 overall. For Wawasee, Kyler Love, Todd Hauser and Luke Smith won at No. 1, 2 and 3 singles, respectively. On the doubles courts, Wawasee No. 1 team of Dylan Houser and Chase Myers also got a victory. At home against Whitko Tuesday, the Tippecanoe Valley boys tennis team posted a 3-2 victory. The Vikings received wins from Derrick Cunningham at No. 2 singles, as well as the No. 1 doubles team of Trevor Neeley and Logan Britton and the No. 2 duo of Lucas Britton and Willy Inglehearn. In defeat, Whitko’s Tyler Baugher won at No. 1 singles and Cole Bechtold came out on top of his No. 3 singles match.
