Lady Warriors Roll To A 12-2 Win At Fairfield
BENTON – Meghan Fretz pitched five innings and struck out eight, and Wawasee cranked out 11 hits in a 12-2, five-inning win at Fairfield Monday night.
The game was a rematch of last season’s 3A sectional final, won 1-0 by Fairfield.
The Lady Warriors broke open a 3-1 game with five runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth. Fairfield scored once in the bottom of the fifth, but it wasn’t enough to keep the 10-run rule from being evoked.
Wawasee plays again tonight at Columbia City.
