BOURBON - Wauneta Patterson Martin, 90, of Bourbon, died Sept. 30, 2007.
She was born Oct. 28, 1916, in Bremen, to Charles Everett and Goldie Mae Hanes Patterson. On June 23, 1935, she married Harold K. Martin, who died in 1994.
She was a 1934 Bourbon High School graduate. She worked at Kraft Tearoom, Bourbon; was an assistant to Burt Harris at the Bourbon News Mirror; and retired from Plymouth Parkview Hospital lab as secretary bookkeeper in 1988. She was a founding and final member of Bourbon Progress Club. She attended Fairview United Brethren Church, Bourbon, and Bourbon First EUB, which merged with First Methodist Church. She then become a member of First United Methodist Church, Bourbon.
Surviving are a son, Michael Martin; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother, Max Patterson, Pullman, Wash. She was preceded in death by a brother.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Bourbon First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Day officiating. Burial will be private at Sand Ridge Cemetery, Bourbon.
