The Warsaw girls softball team braved the cold Monday, getting its season started off with an 8-4 win over visiting South Bend Riley.
Sophomore Alex Sanchez was in the circle for the Warsaw Lady Tigers (1-0), giving up nine hits, four earned runs and five strikeouts, three of which came in the top of the seventh.
