Warsaw Netters Fall To ConcordA night after knocking off No. 24 NorthWood, host Warsaw dropped a 3-2 decision to No. 26 Concord in Three Rivers Conference girls tennis Wednesday.

Alyssa Zellers won a three-set match at No. 3 singles for Warsaw, and the No. 1 doubles team of Collette Smith and Athena Schlitt won in straight sets for the Lady Tigers.

Warsaw’s Liza Lewis dropped a closely-contested, three-set marathon to Concord’s Alana Brubaker at No. 1 singles. Ella Knight at No. 2 singles, and Libby Jenkins and Rachel Yeager at No. 2 doubles, fell in straight sets.

In the junior varsity competition, the Lady Tigers won four of the 11 matches. Winners were Izzy Ray at No. 3 singles, Jaya Paniker at No. 4 singles, Emma Hoff at No. 5 singles, and the No. 1 doubles team of Rachel Boyle and Amy Herendeen.

The Lady Tigers will play at Culver Academies (where there is  an indoor facility) today.
