The accident happened about three miles south of Beeler, Kan.
At about 9:30 p.m. Leighty was headed north on County Road C toward Beeler. For an unknown reason his truck went off the road and then returned to the road where the truck rolled, the report states.

He was also editor of Woodall’s Campground Management, a monthly publication for the North American RV park and campground sector.
While at The Truth, Leighty covered police, courts, local government and business, but gained a reputation for his coverage of the RV industry and the Elkhart County Fair.
