Warsaw and Wawasee drew first-round byes in their volleyball sectional in pairings announced by the IHSAA Monday. The Lady Tigers play in the 4A Penn Sectional, and will get the winner of the match between Northern Lakes Conference rivals Elkhart Memorial and Concord in the semifinals at 11 a.m. Oct. 24. Wawasee got a pass into the semifinals at the West Noble 3A Sectional, where it takes on the host Lady Chargers at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 24. Tippecanoe Valley is also in the West Noble Sectional, and plays NorthWood in the opening round at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22. With a win they would take on the Fairfield/Lakeland winner in the semifinals at 11 a.m. Oct. 24. Manchester takes on Rochester in the opening round of the 2A Southwood Sectional at 8 p.m. Oct. 20. Whitko plays LaVille in the first round of the 2A Central Noble Sectional at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22. Triton is matched with Oregon-Davis in the Culver Community 1A Sectional. That match will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 20. Lakeland Christian plays in the Bethany Christian 1A Sectional in Goshen, and takes on Elkhart Christian Academy at 6 p.m. Oct. 22. All sectional semifinal and championship matches are set for Oct. 24.
