Valley Competes At CMA Indoor Track & Field MeetCULVER – The Tippecanoe Valley boys and girls track and field teams competed at Culver Academies for a six-way indoor meet on Tuesday night.
Alongside Valley and Culver Academies at the event were Culver Community, Knox, John Glenn and North Judson.
Dakota Parker captured the boys team’s lone individual track first-place victory at the meet. Parker finished first in the 440-yard race, crossing in 56.00 seconds. He also finished third in the 40-yard dash.
Jameson Baker earned first in the shot put, landing the team’s lone first-place in a field event. He tossed the shot 48-8, finishing over four feet farther than second place.
Justin Peconga jumped 5-3 to tally second in the high jump. The 12-lap relay team finished first with a time of 3:16.70.
For the girls, Jadyn Kousiak ran a mile in 5:59.50, capturing first-place for the Lady Vikings.
Cheyenne Oldfather finished second in the 220-yard dash, ending with a time of 31.30 seconds. Alyssa Brito tallied second in the 440-yard race (1:09.00).
Hannah Gibbons hurled the shot put 28-4 to earn second. Olivia Smith jumped 4-4 to receive third in the high jump for Valley.
The girls 12-lap relay followed suit to the boys, finishing first in the event. The team ran a 3:48.60. The eight-lap relay earned third (2:23.70).
Valley will begin its boys and girls outdoor season on Tuesday at NorthWood.
