Valley Blanked By WarriorsDENVER – In terms of offensive statistics, Tippecanoe Valley played North Miami fairly close. But the Vikings turned the ball over four times, including three interceptions, and fell 28-0 to the host Warriors Friday night.
North Miami had a 54-yard advantage in total offense, and both teams had 13 first downs, nine by running the ball and four by passing. Valley had a 1:18 edge in time of possession.
The big play hurt Valley, with three of North Miami’s four touchdowns going for 56, 43 and 60 yards.
Alex Morrison led the Vikings with 62 yards rushing on 14 carries, a 4.4 yards per carry average. Tanner Trippiedi completed 11 passes for 113 yards. Morrison also caught a pair of passes for 49 yards, and Isaac Randall had four receptions for 23 yards.
Because the teams are in separate divisions, the game between Three Rivers Conference schools didn’t count in the conference standings.
Valley (0-3) hosts Northfield in TRC play Friday.
