Every problem that we ever had is based on cause and effect. In other words, there is cause or a beginning that will mushroom into an effect or a concern.
Now people start to recognize a problem, the “powers that be” won’t tell the public what caused the problem in the first place. The powers won’t apologize for bad advice. The powers only want to spend taxpayers money.
A local problem we have is “U.S. 30.” Some of the causes are over 10 years old.
Remember when the state sold the toll road the new owners never tried to upkeep the toll road. The new owners increase the toll from less that $5 to over $30. With the increase of the toll, truckers no longer using the toll road, but U.S. 30. Why pay when you can drive free?
Another cause will be the General Assembly. They want to increase the weight load on U.S. 30. Right now, U.S. 30 can only handle 80,000 pounds. The Assembly wants to increase the weight to 125,000 pounds, with the added weight U.S. 30 will be break up quickly.
What’s the answer - fix the toll road and lower the road.
