Editor, Times-Union: You speak of trust in government. If you mean reliance and confidence as per the dictionary too many people trust the government. A Constitution was to lead us to trust government, but we see how that worked out. No people should trust political power. It is the first sign of mass dementia. I would rather say my trust is founded on governments not lying or keeping massive secrets from us. Based on that reality, no government can ever be really trusted. Tom Metzger Warsaw, via email
