Trump And Kavanaugh

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

I would like to make a few comments in regards to the letter to the editor published in the Tuesday newspaper “Trump And Tears.”

I hear so much being brought forward these days about what someone said or expressed a lot of times in the past, that in this case with what Trump said about how he viewed tears as weakness in men that dates back to 2005.

Is anyone still the same or feel the same or even think and act the same or possibly believe in some of the same ways as they did 13 years ago more or even less?

The comment was made about how Trump might possibly view Kavanaugh as being weak (after being bludgeoned on every side) because he shed tears and sobs and sighs throughout his questioning the other day. I think Trump answered that right away when he stated immediately that he was very proud of Brett Kavanaugh. He said what most of the Democrats and some of the Never Trump Republicans were (are) doing to him, his wife and his daughters was and is absolutely horrific. The man had more questions thrown at him, was and still is being treated as “guilty until proven innocent” the flip of what it should be and we all know this.

The truth is there are no proven facts here that have condemned Brett Kavanaugh at all. He has broken no laws. He has a reputation of highest respect and decency. He’s been through I believe six previous FBI Investigations, all for advancement purposes, and none of these accusations have ever surfaced,  and the left is feverish and in a complete frenzy, because they know he is very highly qualified for this position on the Supreme Court. They also know that if Brett, a constitutionalist, is placed on the Supreme Court, the court will then lean possibly more conservative for 40 to 50 years, and the left are just exploding and being utterly ridiculous and totally hateful toward this happening.

They are only following Hillary Clinton’s instructions on election night 2016  when she stood and said that she congratulated Donald Trump on his victory as President of the United States, then turned right around and told everyone to  insist, resist and persist against this new administration. She herself has never accepted yet that elections have consequences and she and those that voted for her lost. They need get over it and move on.

If you can get past the 90-some percent negative news coverage that Trump and us conservatives have blasted at us each day, and really honestly look into it, Trump is keeping his promises and is doing a lot and has accomplished a lot in less than 2 years. Just imagine if they were fair to Trump and his supporters and reported positivity, honesty and the truth how much more he could do.

In this article I referenced at the start, it was stated that “It is not truth that matters, but victory”  I disagree.

I believe truth does matter, because Jesus said that “We will know the truth, and the truth sets us free” and that the only path to real victory is through faith in Jesus who alone is the truth, the way and the life.
