BREMEN — The 17th-ranked Triton boys golf team wasn’t threatened too much at Bremen's Sprig O'Mint Golf Course Thursday evening. Shooting a 166 on the par-36 front nine, the Trojans outshot Bremen's 185 and Oregon-Davis' 236. The Northern State Conference win over Bremen leaves Triton with a 6-0 conference mark and the Trojans now sit at 13-0 overall. In its latest dual meet, Triton’s Quentyn Carpenter and Ryan Rapp each shot a 40, while Chandler Slone finished with a 42, followed by Tanner Shepherd's 44 and Austin Kanarr's 45. The Trojans return to Sprig O'Mint Saturday for the LaVille Invitational.
Playing their third match of the week, the Lakeland Christian Academy boys golf team picked up a pair of wins at Rozella Ford Golf Club Thursday evening. On the par-35 course, the LCA Cougars shot a 195, while Lakewood Park Christian shot a 201 and Clinton Christian finished with a 203. The Cougars were led by Chris Maron’s 48. LCA will be at Saturday’s LaVille Invitational, which will be held at Sprig O’Mint Golf Course.

The Manchester baseball team suffered its first Three Rivers Conference loss Thursday, falling 13-8 at Wabash. Logan Brunn and Caleb Thomas each had three hits in the loss, but the rest of the team could only muster one hit off of the Apaches’ pitching stuff. The Squires are back in action today at Peru.

The Triton girls tennis team lost 4-1 in Northern State Conference action Thursday at Jimtown. Marissa Ross posted a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles in the team loss. The Triton Lady Trojans will travel to South Bend Riley Monday.
In Northern Lakes Conference action Thursday in Syracuse, the NorthWood girls tennis team defeated Wawasee 5-0. The Wawasee Lady Warriors will be at Saturday’s Angola Tournament.

The Lakeland Christian Academy girls track and field team finished second in a three-way meet at Triton Thursday night. Triton came out on top with 61 points, followed by LCA (47) and LaVille (36). On the night, LCA’s Jo Boren won the long jump (14-11.5), 200 (27.6) and 400 (1:02) while also anchoring the winning 1600 relay (4:37) with Hailey Nieveen, Hannah Remington and Jessica Hand. The LCA Lady Cougars close out their season Monday against Elkhart Christian at Goshen College.
