Editor, Times-Union: Marching band season is a very busy time for students and their parents. The season is filled with band camp, practice, parades, practice, competitions, more practice and performing at the home football games. There’s very little “down” time from the last week of July until the middle of October. It takes stamina and determination and a lot of patience and parental involvement for the program to be successful and rewarding.
The Triton Music Boosters will have a short informational/organizational meeting in the music room at Triton Jr./Sr. High School on July 16 at 6:30 p.m. for parents of students participating in marching band this fall. Band camp will be held July 23-27 at the Bourbon Park. Band parents are encouraged to attend the meeting. If there are any questions, please call 574-342-2255.
