We are excited to announce that, by the gracious love of God, our prayers have been answered.
Northwestern Hospital in Chicago arranged for an exchange kidney transplant between our family and another family needing a kidney transplant. I will receive the husband's O-positive kidney, while David, our son, will give his A-positive kidney to the wife of my donor. This is called an exchange transplant.
I am truly thankful for those family members and others that offered to give me a kidney, and for all that prayed for me and my family throughout this past year. Thank God for His faithful answers to prayers.
Please pray for all four of us that will be having surgery Thursday. Surgery will begin around 6:30 a.m. for the donors and early afternoon for the recipients.
