After much consideration and legal counsel, I have decided to write a letter to the editor. I would like a retraction. The year of 2017 was brought up that I was not on legally for the clerk-treasurer for the town of Sidney. This is not correct. I have proved that I was on legally to an attorney who works with the person who said I wasn’t on.
You people in Sidney have always been against me and you know who you are. Surprise, I was quitting at the end of 2020 anyway. So you people jumped the gun and started these falsehoods. I have had to say my peace. This was never brought up before. You would just come to meetings and cause trouble.
I had to learn about this position by asking questions and then along came the sewer system. This brought on a tremendous amount of extra work. You are now trying to cause problems for the biller. This is also a hard position. I was to have somebody I could trust and then you have started to bring her down. I am saying this all needs to stop. Shame on you. I am not perfect, nor are any of you. I am tired of seeing the false information that has been printed in the paper.
I appreciate all of you who have stood behind me that know that I would never do anything to compromise my integrity.
