Tiger Track Opens At HSRMARION – The Warsaw boys and girls track teams opened their seasons Saturday at the Hoosier State Relays indoor meet with several state-ranked performances. The 4x200 relay team of Rane Kilburn, Will McGarvey, D'Andre Street and Alijah Wade recorded a time of 1:35.66, and are now ranked ninth in the state. The 4x400 relay of Bishop Harrison, Justus Voss, Tristan Larsh and Street checked in with a time of 3:38.87, good for a No. 10 ranking. In the 4x800 relay, Xavi Ramierez, Kennis Dye, Isaac Mitchell and Justin Fleming completed the distance in 8:56.84, leaving them ranked 17th. The distance medley relay team of Fleming, Ridley Lemon, Ramierez, and Dye recorded a time of 11:43.5. Field event performances included Joseph Harness with a high jump of 6-0 and Street with a long jump of 20-8.5, good for the No. 4 ranking. Rane Kilburn is ranked fifth after his long jump of 20-6. In the girls races, Makayla Clampitt ran the 60-yard dash in 8.33 seconds. Charlene Orr ran the 3200 in 11:51.98, leaving her ranked ninth in the state. The 4x200 relay team of Abby Curtis, Clampitt, Maygan Bellamy and Kaia Hummitch are ranked eighth in the state after recording a time of 1:51.56. In the 4x400 relay, Bellamy, Shuntera Davis, Kenzie Martz and Abby Curtis ranked fourth with a time of 4:13.05. In the 4x800 relay of Dayton Groninger, Angie Sanchez-Vigil, Curtis and Anna Craig turned in a 9:56.86, good for a No. 5 ranking. The distance medley relay team of Craig, Groninger, Emma Bohnenkamper and Mia Beckham ranked eighth with a time of 13:21.23. Davis had a long jump measuring 15 feet, 2.5 inches. The teams will compete again Saturday at IPFW.
