Three Arrested In Syracuse With Heroin, THC Lollipops

SYRACUSE – Three Syracuse residents were arrested in a drug sting Thursday. Kathryn Richardson, 35; Eric Scott McFarland, 36; and Dylan Nikole Bowser, 24; all of 109 E. Baltimore St., #3, Syracuse, were arrested Thursday and charged with multiple felony drug dealing charges. On Oct. 19, Syracuse Police Department officer Joseph?Keene met with a confidential informant. That person spoke with McFarland, who said he would have heroin and THC lollipops for sale, according to a probable cause affidavit filed with the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office. THC is a chemical found in marijuana. Keene met with the informant, who placed a recorded phone call to McFarland’s telephone. The call was answered by?Bowser, who told the informant it was OK to come over. The informant told Keene as they entered the residence that they saw Bowser and McFarland in the residence with Richardson. The informant said McFarland was sleeping on the couch. Bowser and Richardson talked about getting more money so they could pick up more heroin, the affidavit states. Richardson gave the informant $60 for three bags of heroin. On Oct. 20, Keene met with an informant who also had arranged to buy heroin from McFarland. The informant said that McFarland wanted to charge $30 for one-hundredth of a gram of heroin due to the high quality of the drugs. Officers gave the informant $100 to purchase the drugs, the affidavit states. After the purchase, the informant provided five bags to Keene that tested positive for heroin. All three people were booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Thursday with bond set at $10,250 each.
