Thomas "Tom" D. Maggart, 75, of 411 Sophie Lane, Warsaw, died at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 24, 2009, in Warsaw Meadows Care Center.
He was born July 4, 1934, in Kimmell, to Joseph and Elizabeth Hover Maggart. On July 19, 1957, he married Lorraine Geisler, who survives.
Living in northern Indiana most of his life, he worked at R.R. Donnelley & Sons for 36 years as a plater/polisher. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Airborne Radio from 1954-58. He loved fishing.
Also surviving are two daughters, Karen (and spouse Dexter) Wise, Rochester, and Dana Maggart, Warsaw; two sons, Terry (and spouse Heather) Maggart and Randy (and spouse Kim) Maggart; eight grandchildren: Alexis, Melissa, Carrie Allen and Zeb Wise, Connor and Madison Maggart and Cadence and Kendall Gibson; and three great-grandchildren, Gabe and Julianna Ruiz and Hadley Allen. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cassandra Lynn Wise, and a sister, Marilyn Ringler.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating, and with military honors by members of Warsaw 49 and North Webster 253 American Legion posts and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Warsaw.
