NAPPANEE - Theodore "Ted" Foeckler, 89, formerly of Nappanee, died at 7:15 a.m. March 6, 2007, in Hubbard Hill Estates, Elkhart, where he resided.
He was born Sept. 21, 1917, in Bremen, to Chester and I. Dora Schweisberger Foeckler. On Oct. 1, 1938, in Bremen, he married Ruby Elmore, who died Jan. 24, 1990. On April 27, 1991, in Mishawaka, he married Marie Huff, who survives.
Living most of his life in this area, he lived in Palm Harbor, Fla., from 1978-91. He was a 1936 Madison High School graduate and a partner of Marty & Ted Inc., Nappanee, retiring in 1978. He attended Nappanee United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are a son, Ron Foeckler, Elkhart; three stepdaughters: Cynthia Huff, Savannah, Ga.; Mrs. Les (Elizabeth) Wright, St. Louis, Mo.; and Mrs. Ed (Shelley) Wood, Houston, Texas; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; a step-grandson; and a sister, Violet Masterman, Walkerton. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Services will be private.
No calling is planned.
