Editor, Times-Union: Let me say I'm not a big fan of President Donald Trump. I didn't expect him to go the distance. I didn't expect him to get the nomination. I didn't expect him to win the election. I did expect Rod Serling to tell me I was in the “Twilight Zone.” But I should have expected the Left's reaction to Trump's victory. Remember when Chris Wallace asked Trump if he would accept "the result of the election, even if he lost." When Trump did not respond with an immediate, "Yes," Hillary said, "That's horrifying." "That's a direct threat to our democracy." "I truly doubt he has even read the Constitution." (Flashback: “Clinton said not accepting election results was horrifying," dailycaller.com, Kerry Picket 11-26-16). Evidently the Clintonites hadn't read the Constitution. When they screamed about the popular vote, they clearly didn't understand how the system works. Time to review your middle school civics notes. They blamed the electoral college – before they tried to use it to get electors to flip over to Hillary. (They flipped OK – 2 from Trump and 5 from Hillary.) Then they tried to get recounts. Jill Stein raised more money for the recounts in a week than she'd raised for her campaign in months. By the way, what happened to Jill Stein's money? And the rioters screaming, "Not my President!", partying like they were stuck in the ’60s. The riots started after the election and culminated in the woman's march after the inauguration. Liberals love to talk about reason and logic until you cross them, then they subject you to a withering blast of profanity and obscenity. How can you debate trash talk, and will Madonna ever face arrest and jail time after talking about blowing up the White House? All the liberals have done is throw a temper tantrum worse than the one after Al Gore's defeat in 2000. And after the Obama victory I didn't see the KKK or neo-Nazis rioting and threatening our first black president with assassination. The reason Hillary Clinton lost was simple – jobs. The cheap labor plutocrats of the GOP are putting profits before people – their own countrymen, American workmen. The Democratic party abandoned its base – blue collar workers. The Democrats said Bill Clinton gave us our longest period of peacetime prosperity. Too bad he ruined it with a rotten trade deal that started the out-sourcing of good paying jobs overseas to China and the third world. Hillary was set to continue that trend, told coal workers she'd put thousands out of work and that belatedly she was against TPP after she'd been for it. Even Chris Matthews said the Republicans wanted cheap labor, Democrats wanted immigrant votes and abandoned working people, and it wasn't racism but survival.
