Mr. Gerard, I read your News Views “I’ll Vote, But…”  You gave two examples of government wasteful spending.  One example was in the area of defense, and the other in green energy.  Then you posed the question: “What’s the difference?”  The answer is easy: the first is constitutional while the second is not.  Nowhere in the constitution does it state that the government can spend my tax money on energy (of any kind oil, gas, and coal included).  Whereas Article I, section 8, paragraph 16 states: “To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the militia, and for the governing of such ...”
That’s the difference!
