I am Anthony Washington and I’m currently incarcerated at Kosciusko County Jail.
Sheriff Dukes just got into office. I just want to thank him publicly for taking time out of his busy schedule and talking to me about an issue that I had. He spoke to me in private and treated me with just as much respect as we give him.
It doesn’t happen very often. When you’re incarcerated people tend to treat you as if you’re not human. As inmates, we are already being punished for our crimes.
The jail staff led by Shane Coney and Sheriff Dukes are very helping and try to make the stay as comfortable and safe as possible.
I just want to thank Sheriff Dukes for listening and respecting me as a person.
