BOURBON – Terry Linn Gochenour, 65, of Bourbon, passed away from natural causes at 1:58 p.m. Feb. 18, 2012, in his residence.
He was born Nov. 7, 1946, in Warsaw, to Lewis Devon and Ethel Wallace Gochenour.
A lifetime area resident, he graduated from Triton High School in 1965. He was a truck driver for Heckaman Homes before he had a serious accident in 1984. He was a member of Bourbon American Legion Post 424 and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was known for his many enjoyable and colorful conversations over coffee with his friends at the Bourbon Mini Mart and the Bourbon Truck Stop and enjoyed sports and Pony Harness Racing.
Surviving are two daughters, Tami Vance and Tara (and spouse Keith) Troyer, all of Nappanee; a son, Trevor Gochenour, Nappanee; six grandchildren: Trent, Breanna and Brooklyn Troyer, Paige and Maddox Vance and Jersey Gochenour; and three brothers: Larry (and spouse Susan) Gochenour, Etna Green; Joe (and spouse Alana) Gochenour, Clarksville, Tenn; and Steve (and spouse Vicky) Gochenour, Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Layne Troyer.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon, with military graveside services by members of Bourbon American Legion.
No calling is planned.
There will be no visitation.
