MILFORD – Terry Haab, 73, of Dewart Lake and Bonita Springs, Fla., passed away Sept. 13, 2013, in Elkhart General Hospital from complications during a routine surgical procedure.
He was born Sept. 22, 1939, in Warsaw, to George and Pearl Haab, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 17, 1961, he married Lorelei Foyle in Worth, Ill., who survives.
The two moved to Orland Park, Ill., and raised their two daughters until 1980 when they moved to Dewart Lake in Syracuse. In 2003, he retired from a long career that included farming, well drilling, building, plumbing and backhoe work. During his retirement, he enjoyed vacationing in Florida where he spent many hours fishing.
He enjoyed helping those around him by helping with roof repairs, plumbing, or digging with his backhoe. It didn’t matter what kind of help was needed, he was always there with a smile on his face. He was not only a loving husband and father, but an amazing grandfather.
Also surviving are two daughters, Robin (and spouse Tim) Stiffler, and Debbie (and spouse Dave) Strombeck; two grandchildren, Renee Stiffler Case and Mikey Stiffler, Milford.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford.
Calling will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
