Tenney, Krull For Whitko

It was with great interest that I watched the Whitko School Board virtual debate. Some things caught my attention. Several of the candidates stated they had a background in education, I do not know if this is a real asset or not.

There is so much more involved in running a school corporation, such as labor issues, building maintenance, capital improvements, funding, budgets and federal and state mandates and now the pandemic to name a few.

In my opinion, two candidates stood out.

Georgia Tenney spoke from a position of experience, she has served on the school board and is well aware of the challenges faced by our schools. Experience like this is a tremendous asset.

Jennifer Krull spoke with confidence, she made it clear she had no political agenda. Her presentation was concise and clear which shows she was well prepared for this debate.

Remember, it is the qualifications of the candidate, not the number if signs in the yards, that determines what is best for our schools. After all, if the number of signs displayed determined the election, then heck, I would be a politician.
