Well, me and other inmates were discussing how ridiculous it is that teachers, the most important people that we should truly depend on to correct and help the future by teaching our wonderful children (I have four little girls). These teachers bust their butts helping our children and they only make 20 to maybe if they're lucky $30,000 a year. But yet these prisons that so many people (to be exact) 7.3 million people, which the guards that, at least where I'm at all they do is babysit and turn a key and sit around, these people are making $28 plus an hour. That's roughly $40,000 a year for the low end and more than $100,000 a year high end. God knows what the warden makes.
You'd think that if we paid the teachers more (since they have the harder job, and more important job), more people, good people, would be teachers, and more effort would be put toward creating positive people, creating better roads to go down, unlike the road of drugs and violence like so many of us chose instead, like myself.
Teachers are the greatest people in the world. I think and feel we should appreciate them more, by paying them what they really deserve. After all, our children's' future is in their hands. Think about it. Act on it. Our children's' future is priceless.
