As I was reading my devotions the other night, it concluded with an interesting statement. "Don't make a cemetery of your life, by burying your talents."
We plant flowers for our enjoyment, as I understand our Creator (God) has created us for His enjoyment. Everyone has a talent. For what purpose do you use yours?
When you have a dollar to spend, you are concerned to get the most for your money. May I suggest you aim to use your talents even to last eternally? That is like getting the most for your money. Eternity is a long time. Romans 12:6-8 reads, "Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given us, let us use them; if prophecy, let us prophecize in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; and he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness."
As I remember someone said, to me years ago, "Don't squander away your life, like I did." That is a sad situation. If you use your talents to glorify God, I can assure you, that you will never be sorry.
Everyone has a talent. Everyone can do something. Let's contribute by using all our talents wisely.
