Editor, Times-Union: I strongly agree that folks should come out to the next Syracuse Town Council meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 15, to speak up in favor of forming a quiet zone train crossing committee with a town board member at the head. Please come and give us your support and opinions at the meeting. Ours is a small town, and our board will be responsive if enough people ask it to act. Our beautiful summers could be so much more peaceful if we didn’t have to hear the train whistles blaring every 20-30 minutes. Our town board can stop the noise with organized effort. Please come out and ask them to act. Linda Neff Syracuse, via email
