GOSHEN – A Syracuse man died Tuesday after a stabbing in Goshen, according to a news release from the Goshen Police Department. Police found Phillip Kevin Smith, 32, Syracuse, lying on the ground near a pickup truck with a stab wound in his chest, in the 700 block of Lincolnway East Monday evening. Smith was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital. Smith died Tuesday in the hospital, the release states. The incident is being investigated and there is no additional information available at this time.
