NAPPANEE - Sylvia Graber, 84, of 11625 W. CR 700S, Millersburg, and formerly of Nappanee, died at 2:31 a.m. March 26, 2010, in Elkhart General Hospital, after a short illness.

She was born March 20, 1926, in Holmes County, Ohio, to Samuel and Sarah P. Weaver Borkholder. On Feb. 14, 1952, she married Edward H. Graber, who died April 2, 1994.

A lifetime Nappanee area resident, she was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Amish Mennonite Church, Nappanee. She was a former pastor's wife and enjoyed serving the congregation in the community.

Surviving are a son, Loren Ray (and Esther Miller) Graber, Nappanee; two daughters, Pauline Faye (and spouse William) Miller, Millersburg, and Neva Fern (and spouse Marvin) Miller, Grove City, Minn.; 25 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, two granddaughters, a great-granddaughter, four brothers and four sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mt. Tabor Church of God with Clarence Bontrager officiating, assisted by Randy Miller. Burial will be in Fairview Amish Mennonite Church Cemetery, Nappanee.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
