WABASH - Susanne Lee, 84, of Wabash, died at 8:11 p.m. Feb. 1, 2010, in Miller's Merry Manor, Wabash.
She was born March 6, 1925, in Wabash, to Edgar and Nelle Smith Hipskind. On Nov. 15, 1951, she married William H. Lee, who died Nov. 21, 1999.
She was a homemaker and a guidance counselor at Wabash High School for 17 years. She was a member of Presbyterian Church of Wabash, Eastern Star and Delta Theta Tau. She was a 1943 graduate of Wabash High School. She enjoyed her cats, gardening and flowers. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events and visiting their schools on Grandparents Day. She frequently reminisced about her former students.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Thomas M. Lee (and fiancee Lori Jurich), Summitville, and Geoffrey (and spouse Beth) Lee, Logansport; two daughters, Sara (and spouse Dan) Frank, Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Nancy (and spouse Gary) Houlihan, Warsaw; nine grandchildren: Geoffrey (and spouse Lahpo); Matt (and spouse Shannon); Hillary; Jennifer (and fiance Justin); Tiffany (and fiance Shane); Stephanie (and boyfriend Chris); Brett; Tyler; and Nicholas; and five great-grandchildren: Alexis, Josie, Jaelyn, Kobe and Clayton.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, with Pastor David Smith officiating. Burial will be Falls Cemetery, Wabash.
