PORTLAND – Susan K. Minch, 68, Portland, passed away at 5 p.m. April 17, 2015, at her residence. She was born Feb. 22, 1947, in Warsaw. On May 31, 1967, in Mentone, she married Donald H. Minch, who survives. She was a graduate of Mentone High School and also Fort Wayne Cosmetology School, where she obtained her beautician's license. She worked at Stoneridge Factory in Portland. For many years, she operated a ceramics business out of her home. She enjoyed sewing, painting and baking in her free time. Also surviving are her mother, Phyllis Jean Roberts Zolman, Mentone; a daughter, Dara Sue (and spouse Kraig) Livengood, Mentone; a son, Shane Allen (and James Grammer) Minch, Rensselaer; four grandchildren: Spencer Allen and Sydney Nicole Livengood, Jameson Allen and Hunter Alan Grammer-Minch; two sisters, Connie (and spouse Jerry) Black, Warsaw, and Tami (and spouse Steve) Norton, Mentone; a brother, Gary (and spouse Joyce) Mosier, Athens; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Nicole and Easton David Krider; father-in-law, James Edward Minch, Bryant; mother-in-law, Margaret Minch, Bryant; brother-in-law, James Allen (and spouse Linda) Minch, Geneva; two sisters-in-law, Sandy (and spouse Lew) Sprunger and Lorie (and spouse Greg) Hancock, both of Berne; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Emery Gene Mosier. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Bryant. Calling is from noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
