BOURBON — Susan D. Gochenour, 71, Etna Green, passed away in her home Tuesday, June 26, 2018, with her family at her side. She had been in failing health.

Susan was born the daughter of Loyal E. and Betty I. Long Sparks on July 12, 1946, in Warsaw. She had been a resident of Etna Green her entire life.

She had a passion to volunteer for many organizations throughout the area, specifically as one of the original organizers of the Etna Green Museum. She was a member of Etna Green Church of Christ, Merry Tones Home Extension Club of Kosciusko County and Red Hat Society, and she enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafts.

She graduated from Triton High School in 1964 with her husband, Larry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry Gochenour; daughter, Tana (William) Elliott, Claypool; and son, Kirk and Kelly Gochenour, Bourbon. A special joy were her grandchildren: Derick (Crystal) Elliott, Zak Elliott, Emmersyn Elliott, Sydney (Kyle) Faucett and Wyatt Gochenour. Her sister Sharon (Richard) Hollar, Etna Green, and brother Rex (Karen) Sparks, Murfreesboro, Tenn., also survive.

She was preceded in death only by her parents.
