Suicide Is From Evil Spirit

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

While browsing the Times-Union letters section, I ran across a letter about suicide and felt the need to comment.

Suicide is a subject which comes and goes within the cycle of news, often because of some famous person or persons who decide to end their lives. The reasons given by others for these suicides can sometimes be a little off-base.

We live in a physical, flesh-and-blood world. However, we are all involved in a spiritual, unseen world, wherein a constant battle rages between the forces/side of good and righteousness, and the darker side, one of evil and unholiness.

There is no escaping this battle, either. It involves every single man, woman, teenager and child across the face of the earth. Many deny this, but it is true nonetheless. God is for real, but Satan is for real also.

Suicide is a “spirit”; perhaps one of many types of spiritual beings of death and violence which plague the human race all across the earth.

No amount of drugs (pharmaceutical or otherwise) will ever put a halt to suicidal tendencies. Spiritual battles can only be fought, and won, by the power of the Holy Spirit and the blood of Christ. No other sources will defeat it!

Drugs are a spiritual battle, and this is mentioned in the book of Revelation (not “Revelations,” as some have called it) when it tells of how, in the “last days,” men will not repent of their “sorceries” (drug abuse, i.e. alcohol, cocaine, heroine, meth, etc.).

Some have chosen suicide because of years of ridicule and abuse at school, at home, out in public, etc. I have seen it, and endured it.

You cannot have someone be constantly ridiculed, insulted, attacked and mistreated in such inhumane ways day in/day out, and actually be surprised when they take their own life, or attempt to do thus.

A warning to those who, in their younger days, belittled another person to the point where that individual took his or her life; paybacks are a “b-word,” and you may lose someone you truly care for to suicide or murder.

Think it cannot or will not happen in your family??If so, I guarantee that Satan himself is laughing at you right now!
