Sue Ellen Studebaker, 65, Pierceton, passed away at 12:30 a.m. April 22, 2015, at her residence. She was born July 14, 1949, in Wolf Lake, to Glen and Willadene Heil Holycross. On Aug. 10, 1969, in Larwill, she married Roger Studebaker, who survives in Pierceton. She grew up in Larwill and lived in the Pierceton area for 41 years. She was a teacher for 23 years, and she was director of Kosciusko Solid Waste Management District for 15 years. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Farm Bureau and Heartline Pregnancy Center, all of Warsaw, and also Morning Optimist Club for several years. She served as a leader for 4H for 35 years. She enjoyed gardening and showing goats. Also surviving are four children: Jonathan Studebaker (and fiance Michelle Sherry), Larwill; Janet (and spouse Tim) Moore, Warsaw; Joseph (and spouse Nancy) Studebaker, Peru, Neb.; and Jonah (and spouse Kayla) Studebaker, Pierceton; her mother, Willadene Holycross, Larwill; her sister, Leah (and spouse Mark) Phillipson, Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren: Brittany, Megan, Cody, Dalton, Ethan, Karmon, Tanner, Jason and Khloe; and one great-grandson, Elliot. She was preceded in death by her father. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with the Rev. Bob Conelley officiating. Burial will be private.
