Stephen Ray Likens, 68, La Palma, Calif., passed away Feb. 2, 2018.
He was born March 10, 1949, to Colonel and Josephine Garner Likens.
Steve grew up on a small farm south of Pierceton, sharing a common bond with strong family connections and interactions. He was active in sports and 4-H, but music was his great love. He graduated with a major in music from Manchester College and went on to teach and perform at several levels in Fort Wayne. Steve was a very gifted musician. He was a long-term musician for the Jonathan Club and the successful manager of Fields Pianos in California.
He is survived by his wife, Elsa; daughters: Meegan, Natalie and Jackie; his brother, Gene; and grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Viewing was planned for today, Feb. 15, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Cypress, Calif.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, Feb. 16, at Holy Family Catholic Church Artesia, Calif., with internment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
