NORTH MANCHESTER – Lakeland Christian Academy’s varsity boys soccer team scored the first goal Tuesday, but it was the Manchester Squires who got the last laugh. After trailing the Cougars 1-0, the host Squires dominated the match at Good Field en route to a 7-1 victory. LCA’s goal came on its only shot of the contest and was scored by Weston Clemens. Manchester’s Eliesel Guerrero scored the game-tying goal on an assist from Nathan Self, which was followed by the winner from Colin McNeeley on a pass from Jake Schnepp. McNeeley finished the match with three goals for the Squires, while Guerrero scored twice and Zach Hill and Self scored one each. With the convincing win, the Squires improved to 6-5-1 overall. Manchester is in action again Monday at Maconaquah.
