WABASH – Manchester scored seven goals in the first half, and all 24 players suited up saw action in the Squires’ 8-0 boys soccer win over Wabash in Three Rivers Conference action Thursday.
Caleb Stout scored five goals, with Harley Kruschwitz, Nathan Self, and Isaiah Davis, all scoring one goal each. Nathan Self had three assists, Justin Self, Davis, Kruschwitz, and Eric Morales each had one assist. Konrad Borgmann stopped a penalty kick to preserve the shutout.
Manchester will host a tournament on Saturday.
Lady Squires Drop Close Match
NORTH MANCHESTER – Oak Hill managed just one goal, but it was enough to come away with a 1-0 win at Manchester in a non-conference girls soccer match Thursday evening.
The lone goal for the Lady Golden Eagles came with eight minutes to play. Lady Squire goalkeeper Kiera Stacy had seven saves.
Manchester will play in its invitational tournament on Saturday.
Lady Squire VB Swept In TRC Match
DENVER – Sydney Day had six kills and 11 digs for Manchester in its 26-24, 25-18, 25-11 loss at North Miami Thursday in a Three Rivers Conference volleyball match.
Emma West had a pair of aces and 15 digs for the Lady Squires. Eva Bazzoni had 11 digs and three kills, and Anna Osborne had three kills.
Manchester won the junior varsity match 25-21, 24-25, 15-10. Halie Wampler and Sarah Pegg had four kills each.
The Lady Squires host a volleyball tournament on Saturday.
