Sharon K. Gilbert

SYRACUSE – Sharon K. Gilbert, 71, of Milford, died at 1:22 a.m. Jan. 31, 2013, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. She was born Feb. 26, 1941, in Syracuse, to Clinton Albert “Bud” and Lois Louise Simon Gilbert. She was a lifetime Milford/Syracuse area resident and graduated from Syracuse High School in 1959. She retired in June 2006 from The Papers, Milford, after 45 years of service. She formerly attended Syracuse Church of the Brethren. She was a member of the Lakeland Ladies Bowling League for 46 years and was active in the organization at Wawasee Bowl, Syracuse. Surviving is a sister, Janice (and spouse Larry) Ryman, Milford. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Josh Weiland officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery.
