Sharing God

I have been reading the "God Needed" or "God Not Needed" letters to the editor and decided I should share my views, too. I know personally and first hand that there is a God, and he does answer prayers. I have been on the receiving end of the prayers. In September 2003, I had emergency brain surgery at a hospital in Fort Wayne. I was told that I had brain cancer, geoblastoma multiform stage 4. Just about the worst kind of brain cancer. Most people live nine to 12 months, maybe two years at the most. Immediately, my family and friends started praying for me. I went through the usual treatment of radiation and took the chemo pill Temodar. By spring 2004, I was cancer free.

My doctors all called me a miracle, even my main doctor at Indiana University Medical Center. My doctor also told me that I would never be in remission, because this type of cancer can start growing again and it is a fast-growing kind. And it did start growing again.

I was informed in late July 2010 that it was back. By Aug. 8, 2010, I had brain surgery again and they removed what they could of the cancer. The prayers for me started again. I started the chemo pill in November 2010, and my last MRI in February 2011 did not show any cancer. Praise God.

So you see, God answers prayers. Were you praying with faith? God knows what is in your heart. You need to believe (have faith) that what you are praying for God will give you. You need to believe (have faith) that what you are praying for God will give you. But he will give you what he wants for you in his time. When he feels it is right for you. After all, Jesus said, "if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move a mountain."

Thank you to all those who are or have been praying for me. I really appreciate it.
