COLUMBIA CITY - Ruth M. Coy, 81, Columbia City, died at 7:25 a.m. Aug. 30, 2007, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born June 30, 1926, in Whitley County, to James Wilbert and Hazel Raypole Gaff. On Oct. 30, 1945, she married Ernest J. Coy, who died March 20, 2000.
She was employed at Dana Corp. for 19 years, retiring in 1988.
Surviving are a son, Ernest J. Coy Jr., Tippecanoe Lake; two daughters; four brothers, including Jesse Gaff, Warsaw; two sisters, including Agnes Stanley, North Manchester; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, with the Rev. James Haugen officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
