SYRACUSE - Ruth Bonnie Smith, 97, of Syracuse, died at 7:55 p.m. Nov. 11, 2008, in Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse.
She was born Feb. 24, 1911, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Clifford H. and Bonnie Pierson Heltman. She married Robert H. Smith Sr., who preceded her in death.
Formerly of Fairhope, Ala., she was a homemaker and owner of a security service.
Surviving are a granddaughter and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
No services or calling are planned.
Burial will be at a later date.
Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
