SYRACUSE - Rosemary M. Huston Freel Stapleton Eberly, 89, of North Webster, died at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 8, 2008, in Parkview Whitley Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 19, 1919, in Huntington, to Frank and Anna Brubaker Huston. On Aug. 29, 1936, she married Charles Freel, who died in 1965. In 1968, she married Fred Stapleton, who died in 1984. On Oct. 10, 1989, she married Willis Eberly, who died in 1993.

Moving to North Webster from Huntington in 1964, she was a homemaker and worked at Schacht Rubber, Huntington, for 14 years, and Kapp Lake Store for 10 years. She was a member of North Webster Church of God. The most important thing to her was her family; she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved being outside gardening and crocheting.

Surviving are two daughters, Jodi Freel, Cromwell, and Patricia Doyle Bowers, South Whitley; five sons: Thomas (and spouse Judith) Freel and Charles Gail (and spouse Debi) Freel, all of North Webster; Carl (and spouse Sue) Freel, Syracuse; Ronald (and spouse Judith) Freel, Cromwell; and James (Joan) Freel, Pierceton; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with Pastor David Wagner officiating. A graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
