SOUTH WHITLEY - Roscoe L. Rule, 85, formerly of Leesburg, died at 3:04 a.m. March 6, 2010, in Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
He was born Oct. 13, 1924, in Kosciusko County, to Lewis Franklin and Pearl May Suter Rule. On Oct. 13, 1945, he married Crystal Glea Eberly, who survives.
He graduated from Silver Lake High School and moved to Leesburg in 1964, and Columbia City in 2005. He worked at Reed Motor Shop as an electrician from 1964 until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of Spring Creek Church of the Brethren.
Also surviving are a daughter, Peggy L. (and spouse Lewis) Bolinger, South Whitley; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vera Homan, Chapman Lake, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
