Ronald W. Konkle, 71, of Warsaw, died at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 11, 2007, at 407 Parker St., Apt. A, Warsaw.
He was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Warsaw, to Wilson Nate and Fawn Downhour Konkle. On May 23, 1959, in Warsaw, he married Betty Hines, who preceded him in death.
A lifetime Warsaw resident, he worked at Warsaw Foundry and retired from Dalton Foundries in 1998, after 26 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a lifetime member of Eagles Lodge 1339.
Surviving are two daughters, Edie Epple and Roni Davis (and Doug Wise), both of Warsaw; several grandchildren; a brother, Gary (and wife Donna) Konkle, Warsaw; two stepsisters, Joanne Rife and Donna Garber, both of Warsaw; and a stepbrother, Michael Atchison, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by members of American Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
