Editor, Times-Union: As a member of working class America I couldn’t help but wonder why the mainstream media seemed to be ignoring Dr. Ron Paul’s bid for the Republican ticket nomination for president in 2012. After coming in second at the Iowa straw poll and only missing the top spot by less than 1 percent of the vote, he wasn’t even mentioned as one of the top three contenders coming off the poll by any of the top news organizations. Jon Stewart pointed the shunning out clearly on the “Daily Show” along with some other off-brand news organizations. The shunning has been so blatant that I just had to see what the “establishment” was trying to hide.
After reviewing Dr. Paul’s history and what he stands for, it makes perfect sense. The mainstream media is not into promoting liberty and freedom. Especially when it’s coupled with integrity, sticking to the Constitution, an end to costly foreign policy wars and dealing with the federal reserve. Things that just don’t fit into the elite establishment’s agenda. I’d like to encourage everybody who stands for liberty, the Constitution, sound economic policy and peace to do your homework. Take a moment away from the main stream and research the candidates beyond what the bought and paid for media will serve up.
