Rohit K. Somani, 41, of Winona Lake, died April 7, 2007, at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Florida.
He was born July 1, 1965, in India, to Dr. Indra K. and Saroj Somani. On June 30, 1990, in Carmel, he married Gloritza DoRios, who survives.
He worked for Zimmer Inc. as a director of global brand management, sports medicine and orthobiologics. He was an avid tennis enthusiast and enjoyed both participating in and observing the sport. He found much pleasure in traveling around the world, listening to music and consuming his favorite foods: dalmote, bhujia and tostones. But most of all, he loved sunsets.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Sunil (Dr. Pravina) Mehotrah, California, and Mrs. Dr. Murali (Dr. Sujata) Jasty, Massachusetts; a brother, Dr. Rahul (and wife Dr. Aruna) Somani, California; and eight nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held April 20 in Auroa, Ill. His remains will be scattered in the Ganges River, India.
God saw that you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, He put His arms around you and whispered come and rest
